Drone strikes on civilian vehicles kill at least 20 in Sudan
Recent drone strikes targeting civilian vehicles in Sudan have resulted in over 20 fatalities. On July 7, a drone strike west of Omdurman killed 10 civilians, including five women from the same family, as they were en route to a wedding. The Sudan Doctors Network attributed the attack to the Rapid Support Forces (RSF). Witnesses reported that the vehicle caught fire immediately after the strike, leaving no survivors. The use of unmanned aircraft has become increasingly common in the ongoing conflict between the Sudanese military and the RSF, raising concerns about the targeting of civilians and the escalation of violence.
