Starting June 11, 2025, Finland will implement a new law affecting foreign residents with work-based residence permits. Under the legislation, permit holders who lose their jobs must secure new employment within three months, or six months for certain groups, to avoid deportation. Employers are also required to notify authorities within 14 days if an employment relationship ends prematurely.
