QICDRC Stays Proceedings Following Settlement Agreement
The Qatar International Court and Dispute Resolution Centre (QICDRC) has ordered a stay of proceedings in case CTFIC0003/2026, following a settlement agreement executed by both parties on June 4, 2026. The case involved a dispute between the claimant, RM, and the defendant, VQA.
Presided over by Registrar Mr. Umar Azmeh, the court's order allows for further proceedings only to implement the terms of the settlement agreement. Both parties retain the right to apply for further orders if necessary. The claimant was represented by International Law Chambers LLC, while the defendant was represented by DLA Piper Middle East LLP.
This development highlights the QICDRC's role in facilitating dispute resolution through amicable settlements, thereby promoting efficient and effective legal processes within Qatar's jurisdiction.
