Maestro Avvocato HATCHER Marie

Mary grew up in London and studied History at Oxford University, graduating in 1989 with a 2:1 Honours Degree. On moving to the Isle of Man in the mid-1990s, she set up and ran a successful local retail business for in excess of 20 years. After closing that business in 2016 and deciding to study law, Mary commenced employment at Hannan Law in 2016 whilst studying remotely for her LLB degree through the Open University. She received a 1st Class degree from the Open University in 2018, with Distinctions in all subjects. Supported throughout by Aalish Hannan and her colleagues at Hannan Law, Mary then completed the LPC through the University of Law in 2020, again with Distinction.Mary started her training with Ali Thomas at Hannan Law in 2020, passing the Manx Bar in May 2021 and was called to the Bar in September 2022Mary is gaining expertise in most areas of family law, including divorce and financial settlements, as well as child contact and maintenance matters.  She is currently expanding her knowledge of Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence work whilst working alongside Joanne Creedon in setting up that department at Hannan Law.Mary undertakes both private client and legally aided work.
