Rachel Ashley leads our Corporate Law – Mergers & Acquisitions team.Rachel advises both French and international clients (mainly in industrial and service sectors) on the creation and governance of their companies, as well as in restructuring matters, contributions, acquisitions and disposals of companies, businesses, business lines, and joint ventures. She also generally supports foreign investors in their operations in France.She assists foreign clients with IEF controls (French Foreign Investment Control) with the French Ministry of the Economy (preliminary activity reviews and prior authorization requests for investment operations), and with declarations to the Banque de France.Lastly, Rachel supports regulated companies in their dealings with French regulatory authorities.Rachel joined Vatier as a partner in January 2023. She previously founded the firm Astine in 2011. Rachel began her career at Bignon & Lebray in 1998, before joining LPA in 2000 and then the Paris office of the Anglo-Saxon firm Gowling WLG in 2010.
