The Law Society of Zimbabwe (LSZ) has strongly condemned the violent assault on Professor Lovemore Madhuku and members of the National Constitutional Assembly (NCA) that occurred on March 1, 2026. The attack took place at the NCA headquarters in Harare, resulting in injuries that required medical attention.
Armed individuals reportedly stormed the NCA offices during a meeting convened to discuss opposition to the proposed Constitutional Amendment No. 3. Professor Madhuku, a prominent legal expert and advocate for constitutionalism, was among those injured in the attack.
