Three oil tankers attacked off Omani coast

The Maritime Security Centre has reported that three oil tankers were targeted in separate attacks off the Omani coast, resulting in one crew member's death and three others missing. The incidents occurred outside Omani territorial waters, with the first involving the Liberia-flagged STOLT MAGNESIUM, which experienced an explosion and fire in its engine room approximately 40 nautical miles off the coast of South Al Sharqiyah Governorate. All 23 crew members were safely evacuated. The second attack targeted the Liberia-flagged MOMBASA B about 8.5 nautical miles from Musandam Governorate, causing engine failure and injuring six of its 21 crew members. The third incident involved the Liberia-flagged AL BAHYAH, owned by a UAE-based company, approximately 9.6 nautical miles off the Musandam coast, with three crew members still missing.
