Qatar Condemns Israeli Violations Against Palestinians
The State of Qatar has strongly condemned the ongoing violations and attacks committed by Israel against Palestinians, Lebanese, and Syrians. These actions include illegal settlement expansions, forced displacements, and targeting of Palestinian presence, which Qatar asserts are blatant violations of international law and United Nations resolutions.
In a statement delivered by HE Dr. Hind Abdulrahman Al Muftah, Qatar's Permanent Representative to the UN Office in Geneva, during the 62nd session of the Human Rights Council, Qatar called on the international community to take immediate action to halt these violations. The statement emphasized the necessity of ending the Israeli occupation of all Arab territories and ensuring full access to humanitarian aid in the Gaza Strip.
Qatar reaffirmed its commitment to supporting mediation efforts aimed at promoting security and stability in the region through dialogue and peaceful means. The statement also welcomed the memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran regarding the settlement of outstanding issues, including ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
Qatar's stance underscores its dedication to achieving just and lasting peace, stability, and the promotion of human rights through adherence to international law and diplomatic engagement.
