Uzbekistan Simplifies Business Operations with New Reform Package

On November 23, 2025, Uzbekistan introduced a reform package to simplify business operations and modernize the licensing system.

Streamlined Business Registration

From January 1, 2026, a unified digital platform allows entrepreneurs to complete business registration processes, including obtaining digital signatures, opening bank accounts, and applying for licenses, through a single window.

Modernized Licensing Procedures

Effective March 1, 2026, administrative liability for licensing violations will apply only to organizations, not individuals. A voluntary pre-licensing assessment service has been introduced to help businesses ensure compliance with licensing requirements.

These reforms aim to reduce bureaucracy and foster a more business-friendly environment in Uzbekistan.
