Kyrgyzstan Launches Live Streaming of Court Hearings

On December 9, 2025, the Supreme Court of the Kyrgyz Republic announced the launch of a pilot project for open video streaming of open court hearings.

According to the court's press service, any citizen will now be able to observe the country's judicial system in real time. The project is being implemented as part of the implementation of new provisions in the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic and the policy of debureaucratizing the civil service. Video recording of hearings in various categories of cases will begin from November to December 2025.

The main goal of the initiative is to increase the transparency of the judiciary and strengthen public trust in the judicial system. In accordance with Article 290 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, broadcasts are conducted at the request of trial participants or at the initiative of the court. Broadcasts are available on television, radio, and online.

All video materials are publicly available on the official YouTube channel, where users can view real-life judicial practice.

It is noted that filming is carried out strictly within the law and only with court permission. The videos are intended solely for educational purposes; their commercial use and unauthorized distribution are prohibited.

The project aims to improve legal awareness among the population, prevent offenses, and expand public access to information about the activities of the judiciary.
