Report Highlights Human Rights Violations in Libya During March 2026

Libya Crimes Watch (LCW) has released a report documenting grave human rights violations across Libya during March 2026, including civilian casualties, extrajudicial killings, arbitrary detention, and torture.

Civilian Casualties

The report documents the deaths of two civilians and injuries to two others resulting from armed clashes in residential areas and the detonation of explosive remnants of war in the cities of Al-Zawiyah and Al-Ajaylat.

Extrajudicial Killings and Arbitrary Detention

LCW recorded instances of extrajudicial killings and arbitrary detention, including the enforced disappearance of activist Al-Mahdi Abu Al-Qasim Abd ul Atti in Misrata. He was detained by armed personnel affiliated with the Internal Security Agency and held incommunicado for eleven days before his release.

Migrant Deaths

The report also highlights the continued loss of migrant lives along migration routes, with bodies of unidentified migrants discovered on the coastline in the Souq Al-Jum’a and Al-Fanar areas of Tripoli.
