Libyan Government Announces Measures to Combat Illegal Migration

Government's Firm Stance on Migration
In the statement, the government emphasized its categorical refusal of any programs or arrangements that involve the resettlement or permanent settlement of foreign nationals on Libyan soil. It declared that managing migration and regulating the presence of foreigners are exclusive responsibilities of the Libyan state, integral to protecting national security and preserving the country's demographic composition.
Implementation of Existing Laws
The government directed all relevant security and military agencies to fully enforce existing legislation related to combating illegal migration. This includes laws governing the entry and residence of foreigners and measures against the resettlement of foreign nationals. Additionally, authorities are instructed to adhere to current government decisions concerning the management of displaced individuals from neighboring countries.
Enhanced Security Measures
