Investigation Expands in 5-Ton Marijuana Trafficking Case

The Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime in North Macedonia has expanded its investigation into the trafficking of five tons of marijuana to Serbia, adding seven more suspects. Two individuals have already pleaded guilty and received prison sentences of over three years each. The operation involved transporting marijuana disguised as food products, pillows, and quilts. The drugs were stored in a warehouse in Konjuh, repackaged, and then transported to Belgrade for sale. Serbian authorities have also indicted six members of the organized criminal group involved.
