Denmark has initiated a comprehensive anti-discrimination campaign in Copenhagen, aiming to combat racism and promote equal opportunities for all residents. The campaign features posters with the message: "You are a Copenhagener, no matter what you wear," and includes a QR code linking to the new hotline, Diskriminationslinjen, which offers legal advice to victims and witnesses of racism and discrimination.
This initiative is part of a three-year action plan targeting racism and hate crimes. The plan identifies specific groups at higher risk, including individuals who are Muslim with refugee backgrounds, people from African countries, Jewish communities, and residents from Greenland. It encompasses measures across housing, employment, education, and social services to ensure equal access to opportunities and support long-term integration.
The campaign underscores Denmark's commitment to fostering an inclusive society by addressing systemic discrimination and providing resources for those affected. By launching this initiative, Copenhagen Municipality and the Danish Institute for Human Rights aim to create a more equitable environment for all citizens.
