Andorra
The Government of Andorra has approved an increase in the subsidy for FC Andorra, raising it from €500,000 to €850,000 for the year 2026. This decision underscores the national interest in supporting the club's presence in Spain's Segunda División.
In addition to FC Andorra, the government maintains a subsidy of €1.1 million for Morabanc Andorra, recognizing its participation in the Liga Endesa. Overall, the executive has allocated €2 million to professional sports, reflecting a commitment to fostering athletic excellence and international representation.
The Ministry of Sports has also opened the call for subsidies for federations and historic clubs, with a total budget of €4.5 million. To ensure liquidity, 58% of this budget was advanced in January, and the deadline for applications is set for April 1.
This substantial financial support highlights the government's dedication to promoting sports within the country. Organizations receiving these subsidies are expected to comply with specific regulations and reporting requirements to ensure transparency and proper use of public funds. The increased funding may also influence contractual agreements, sponsorships, and the overall financial planning of the beneficiary clubs.
Stakeholders are advised to stay informed about the application processes and compliance obligations associated with these subsidies to maximize their benefits and adhere to legal standards.
