Turks and Caicos Public Holidays: New Holiday Added, Thanksgiving Now in August

The Turks and Caicos Government has announced changes to the public holiday schedule for 2026, including the introduction of Constitution Day as a public holiday and the rescheduling of Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving will now take place in August on the Sunday before Constitution Day, effectively removing it from the list of public holidays. Constitution Day will be observed on August 31, recognizing the adoption of the 1976 Turks and Caicos Islands Constitution. These changes bring the total number of holidays to 13, with the effective number remaining at 12, as one falls on a Sunday.
